n8n training for companies in India

Automate your team's own workflows

Aashish Pahwa runs n8n training for companies in India: in a hands-on workshop your team automates its own repeat work in n8n and, where data can't leave the building, runs it self-hosted with local models through Ollama.

What your team automates with n8n

The repeat work that moves between tools: each workflow has a trigger, a few steps and an output a person can check.

Weekly reportEvery Monday, n8n pulls the numbers from sheets and tools, and a model drafts the summary for a person to check
ReconciliationNew statements arrive, n8n matches them against the ledger export and lists the exceptions
Inbox triageIncoming mail is sorted and tagged, a reply is drafted, and it goes to the right person
Lead enrichmentA new lead in the CRM gets company details and a first note for the sales team
Content pipelineA brief in a sheet becomes a draft in the CMS, waiting for an editor

One workflow, drawn as nodes

A document workflow of the kind a team builds on day one, self-hosted. The last node is always a person.

  1. New client documentThe trigger: a file lands in a shared folder
  2. n8n reads itSplits the pages and pulls out the text
  3. Ollama, open-source modelExtracts names, dates and amounts into fields
  4. Tracker updatedA row in the team's sheet, flagged if a field is missing
  5. Team leader checksApproves the row before anything goes to the client
An example of a day-one workflow. With n8n cloud and ChatGPT or Claude the steps are the same; only the third node changes.

A real programme: 50 team leaders, 3 days, behind a firewall

At a listed document services company, I trained 50 team leaders over 3 days to automate their own work in n8n, with every AI step running inside the building.

The company handles confidential US client documents: title, litigation and healthcare files. External AI tools are blocked by default. The plan was to train 250 people; we trained the 50 team leaders who make the decisions and will train everyone else.

Most had barely touched AI. Over three days they automated workflows in n8n, ran n8n self-hosted with Ollama, installed OpenClaw on their PCs and built personal agents on open-source models.

"By day 3, a team that started as complete beginners was talking about building their own agents."

Self-hosted n8n with Ollama: when and why

Self-host when the data can't go to a cloud AI service: client contracts, a regulator or your own security team says no.

n8n then runs on your own server, and Ollama runs an open-source model on a machine inside the network. Smaller models extract, sort and draft well; long reasoning is weaker, so the workflows are planned around that. The setup is explained in keeping client data in the building.

n8n, Zapier, Make or Power Automate?

Pick n8n when you need to self-host or want AI steps inside the workflow. Teams that live in Microsoft 365 may be better served by Power Automate.

Zapier and Make are quick to start as hosted services. n8n runs in its own cloud or on your server, and its Community edition is free to self-host. I teach n8n because the same workflow can move inside the building when the data rules change.

From AI automation to agents

n8n is the second step of the path I teach: Claude first, then n8n workflows, then agents.

Once a workflow runs every day, some of its steps can become decisions an agent makes, with a person still approving the result. That is the path from workflows to agents.

A sample n8n workshop agenda

The three-day shape of the programme on record. Shorter formats keep day 1 and the build on day 3.

n8n workshop, three days Sample
  1. Workflows on the team's own tools

Triggers, nodes and the first working automation from each person's week.

  2. AI steps and local models

Adding a model to the workflow, then self-hosted n8n with Ollama.

  3. Each team leader's own workflow

Built end to end, and a plan for training their own team on it.

How a programme runs, and what to arrange before

  1. Discovery call, 30 minutes

The tools the team works in, and whether data may leave the building.

  2. Use-case mapping

The repeat work worth automating, signed off before any slides exist.

  3. Hands-on sessions

Every person builds on n8n cloud or your own server.

  4. Sandbox to live

Workflows run on test data first, then on everyday work with a person approving.

  5. Check-in at 30 days

What still runs, what broke, and what to automate next.

What to arrange before the workshop

  • An n8n cloud account, or a server from IT for self-hosting
  • API access to two or three of the team's tools
  • Test data that is safe to use
  • For self-hosted models, a machine that can run them

A month after n8n training for companies, I count the workflows still running and check that each has an owner.

Who it's for, and who it isn't

For

  • Teams with repeat work that moves between tools
  • Companies that want to self-host their automation and AI

Not for

  • People who want an n8n certificate; n8n's own courses are free
  • Teams with no repeat work mapped yet; start with the Foundations session

Questions buyers ask

How fast can a team learn n8n?

A non-technical team builds its first working workflow on day one. The programme on record took 3 days to go from first workflows to self-hosting and personal agents.

Does it need coding?

No, not to start. Workflows are built from nodes on a canvas. Some steps take a line of code later, and I teach those when a team needs them.

What does n8n cost?

The self-hosted Community edition is free. n8n Cloud and the Business and Enterprise plans are paid, priced on n8n's own pricing page.

Do you run n8n training in Delhi or Noida?

Yes. I'm based in New Delhi, so Delhi, Noida and Gurugram sessions run on site.
